<p>Many people are confused about how to love themselves. Because there were treated poorly by their parents, they naturally feel bad about themselves and treat themselves in a similar way &#8211; without respect, without love, without reverence. If we are to live <strong>successful lives</strong>, we must learn how to love ourselves as the beautiful, brilliant, spiritually divine souls that we are.</p>
<p>So <span style="text-decoration: underline;">how should we love ourselves</span>? You know you&#8217;re on the right path when you love and honor the goodness in others, foster a <em>divine</em> connection and live according to your deepest principles. While we should also love and honor what is not good in others, that does not mean we can&#8217;t get angry or express our disapproval. Sometimes anger is a natural, healthy and productive response to reality. It&#8217;s all a matter of how you channel it. Imagine if Martin Luther King had not become angry at the inhumanity of social injustice and racism. But he directed his anger toward positive social change.</p>
<p>It doesn&#8217;t make any difference what other people say or think about you. You must know who and what you are, and that is all that matters. You need to have <strong>faith</strong> in yourself. Trust your instincts. Trust your inner voice. Other people have no right to demean or interfere in the spiritual journey of your divine self, as long as you do no harm to others. Only you know what is best for you, and only you know your true path and calling.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">Spiritual Growth &amp; Awareness</h2>
<p>Of course, because most people lack spiritual awareness, they will try and block your own progress of <strong>spiritual growth</strong>. This is normal, and to be expected. Try not to hold a grudge against others simply because they lack your own <strong>spiritual awareness</strong>. Most people are spiritually asleep. They may mean well, they may love you, but they just don&#8217;t know how to express and support you on your spiritual journey.</p>
<p>All of us carry wounds from our childhood. But these wounds cannot be healed by loving others at our own expense. If we neglect ourselves at the expense of others, we will only end up hurting ourselves more in the end. We will darken our inner light. You are an angel. A divine spirit. A beautiful soul. Treat and see yourself that way. Want and appreciate the beauty and bounty that flows into your life. You deserve it.</p>
<p>We depend on others, such as family and friends, to understand and support us, but this can be very discouraging. The reality is, oftentimes they cannot do so because they have their own struggles, their own demons to overcome. Don&#8217;t make the mistake of seeing this as your fault. The shortcoming is not in you. They are doing their best with what they know, what they have learned and what they have. Most people, unfortunately, are spiritually stunted by the people who actually love them.</p>
<p>And know that in the end no matter how much people love you, <span style="text-decoration: underline;">you are ultimately responsible for yourself</span>. You must learn to depend on yourself alone, even if others love and support you along the way. Learning to depend and rely on yourself to overcome the challenges of life is what builds character and self-esteem. Never pity yourself.</p>
<p>By learning that you can depend on yourself to overcome any obstacle, you develop the feeling of being a successful and competent person. This feeling of inner worth is what will support you on the difficult paths your life will take, and is what will make your life fulfilling. As the great philosopher Nietzsche wrote, &#8220;Character is destiny&#8221;.</p>
<p><strong>Developing healthy self-esteem</strong> and a strong character will allow you to achieve anything in life. Your dreams will become reality. If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. You are your own best friend, and your own worst enemy.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: center;">The Law of Attraction &#8211; Karma</h2>
<p>When you have a healthy, vibrant, high vibration <strong>spirit</strong>, you will attract the same energy into your life. You&#8217;ll find that other healthy, successful, happy people will enter into your life without you even realizing it. This is the <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Law of Attraction</span></strong>. Whatever energy you put out will come back to you. If you think great thoughts, great things will happen. Maybe not the same day. Maybe not exactly when you want or expect it. But over time, you will find greater and greater success.</p>
<p>Likewise, if you fill your thoughts with negative energy, and constantly look at the dark side of life, you will attract that darkness to yourself. Pessimism feeds upon itself. When you intentionally commit an evil act, then that energy will come back to you. That is the <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>law of Karma</strong></span>.</p>
<p>When you vibrate energy at a high level, you&#8217;ll find that what you desire and need will naturally flow to you. People who are around you &#8211; successful people &#8211; will feel better and happier and become more attracted to you. If you&#8217;re a man, women will naturally find you more attractive because most women love success and confidence in a man more than anything. They are attracted to a man&#8217;s power. Most men too – or at least those with high self-esteem – are attracted to confidence in a woman.</p>
<p>Sometimes loving others will require making sacrifices for them, but not to the detriment of your core self. Sometimes loving others means saying no; you have to take care of yourself first. Despite what you may fear, people will not usually become angry when you define your boundaries, but will respect you for your power and strength of individuality. They will see you as a role model, someone to emulate and respect. They will admire your courage.</p>
<p>So that&#8217;s how to make your dreams a reality. Not by seeking support from the outside world, but by looking deep within and finding your own strength, your own power, your own dreams and visions &#8211; your own <strong>ecstasy</strong>. Then work like hell. People will follow you on a stairway to heaven.</p>
<p>Most people find this path of self love difficult. Women especially have been taught by tradition to love others ahead of themselves. But just because we put ourselves first does not mean that our love for others becomes diminished.</p>
<p>In fact, when we love ourselves first, we become more powerful, our love becomes more powerful, and we have more to give others. We can help others most when we learn to love ourselves well. That means discovering the divine spirit within. Discovering our own beauty and genius. Our own light. <strong>Meditation</strong> is one way to discover the divine within.</p>
<p>And don&#8217;t forget to be grateful. <strong>Gratitude</strong> is everything. Be thankful for all that you have. <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>The more you learn to appreciate what you have in life, the more you&#8217;ll have to appreciate</em></span>.</p>
<p>Most of us believed the injurious things that people told us when we were children. They told us we were stupid, or fat, or ugly, or too skinny, or weak, or just not good enough. So we tried to compensate in ways that would make others love us, at the expense of our integrity, our individuality and spiritual wholeness.</p>
<p>We spent so much time attempting to prove our goodness and worthiness to other people that we forgot how to believe in ourselves, determine our own goals and reward ourselves for our progress, rather than basing our self-worth and self-respect on the belief or attention of others.</p>
<p>But the truth is, they were not good enough. And they tried to pawn off their own inadequate feelings on us so they could feel better about themselves. But in the end, we must all learn forgiveness. <strong>Forgiveness</strong> is the seed of all <strong>healing</strong>. When we learn to fly in the divine light of forgiveness, we learn what true love is. <span style="text-decoration: underline;">All true love is born in forgiveness</span>.</p>
<p>It is never too late to have a happy childhood. No matter what you have suffered, others have been there too, and not only survived but thrived. It is never too late to begin loving yourself, and when you do you can be reborn, because the universe will shower you with this love and all the love it contains and will bring you back home to the miraculous. Ask and you shall receive, because the universe is listening right now.</p>
<p>Truly successful people believe in themselves first, and only then seek out the resources and support they need to make their dreams come alive. Unsuccessful people don&#8217;t have faith in themselves or their ability to create what they desire, so they wait for others to give them what they need, or blame and resent other people for not giving it to them.</p>
<p>Your decisions – your destiny – are yours to write. You are writing the story of your life. What story are you going to tell?</p>

<p>You don&#8217;t need to stay down or even think about lingering in this place. The following six self improvement tips will assist you in gaining the self esteem that you deserve to have. You should think of this as a starting point to a higher emotional well being.</p>
<p>Tip #1 &#8211; Your Work Environment Keep it positive.</p>
<p>You will come across co-workers in your work environment that will have a very competitive attitude. They believe that you need to have a &#8220;dog eat dog&#8221; way of thinking in order to win.</p>
<p>Not the best work environment to have. Just remember, you don&#8217;t have to play that game. Do your job and do it well. Take pride in how you do your work, strive to be your own personal best and you will rise to the top with your self esteem intact.</p>
<p>Tip # 2 &#8211; Your Behavior, you can only control you.</p>
<p>All kinds of negative people will enter your life and they will come in all shapes, sizes, behaviors and negative attitudes. Don&#8217;t mimic their own unhappiness just because they choose not to change. Promote your own positive behavior and high self esteem with a positive attitude.</p>
<p>Tip # 3 is your environment and the constant changes.</p>
<p>Our world changes everyday. You can see these changes as an opportunity for personal growth and learning. This is a great way to improve your own self.</p>

<p>Tip 4 &#8211; Life Experience The past is the past, learn from it, own it and move on.</p>
<p>It is what it is. You own your experiences and they belong to you. You can choose to learn from them and then move on with life as a stronger wiser person. You don&#8217;t need to be consumed by past experiences because they do make you your own unique person.</p>
<p>You can build your self esteem with each life experience, whether positive or negative. These are all lessons &#8211; each failure, each victory, each and every mistake &#8211; a great lesson to build on.</p>

<p>A lot of people get caught up in the news of negative events that happen around them both locally and worldwide. You need to be aware of this and you have a choice to make. By choosing to educate yourself in the positive work that is being done to change negative world events, you are choosing self improvement and self esteem. You might even choose to be part of the positive work yourself.</p>
<p>Tip # 6 &#8211; Your Determination. Be determined in your own personal life purpose.</p>
<p>Positive self esteem is a choice, at times it takes determination to support that choice, but it is still a choice. Remember you have your own identity and the determination to make your life your very own.</p>
<p>Some people have to fight for positive self esteem and for some it comes easily. How you were raised and the traits you were born with are big influences over you.</p>
<p>Your current environment like your spouse, the economy, your friends and coworkers influence you as well. But ultimately it is you and your determination to do what it takes to maintain your self esteem and continue on your path of self improvement.</p>
<p>You never want to give away your power or your self esteem. You have the final say over your life and you need to know that you control your thoughts, actions and behaviors.</p>

<h3>The Biology Of Anger</h3>
<p>As you endeavor to handle your fury, it’s fundamental to be aware that it’s driven by a deeply ingrained neurological circuit that’s far more vigorous than most folks assume. A hardwired structure that arose to safeguard our forebears in a significantly more perilous setting.</p>
<p>A central element of your emotional brain is named the amygdala. It’s a vital element of your brain’s early-warning system. Every category of perceived risk (physically dangerous or otherwise) can activate this structure. Once stimulated it generates an array of biological responses. (Each and every one of the “symptoms” of fury such as a rapid heartbeat, tension in the neck, facial flushing and a knot in the stomach.) What’s more, this entire mechanism operates at an unconscious level. (FYI: This neural pathway, vital to your comprehension of anger, was established by Professor Joseph LeDoux.)</p>
<h3>The Psychology Of Anger</h3>
<p>Now you&#8217;ve appreciated the power of your emotion pathways, let’s focus on the (equally important) psychological aspects of anger management. Psychological research has revealed that our self-talk is full of negative stories. (When I discuss these stories in my healthcare speeches, it’s clear that audience members relate to them.)</p>
<p>One kind of story (described in detail by cognitive therapist Albert Ellis) we tell ourselves is bursting with absolute words like “never or completely or I can’t”. Examples of this kind of story include: &#8220;You can’t do that is this establishment.” And: &#8220;She’s always carping.” Or: “We have totally failed.” These tales produce a “black and white” standpoint that leaves you lacking any choices. Without a doubt “It’s a total disaster,” doesn’t leave you with much “wiggle room”.</p>
<h3>A Healthcare Speaker’s Combined Approach</h3>
<p>Here is the anger management strategy I explain in each and every one my healthcare speeches; a combined biological-psychological approach. The drawback with trying to deal with your rage using a strictly biological approach is that the unhelpful story you&#8217;re inventing will re-trigger the amygdala. That said, trying to reevaluate an upsetting story is difficult if you haven’t properly dealt with the biological element of your anger response.</p>
<p>The ideal way to get the biological component of your anger under control is to regularly practice some type of relaxation technique. Individually, I’ve found out that meditation is most effectual. On a regular basis taking nine minutes (yep, it doesn’t take long) has worked wonders. When life gets a little too tense, it has enabled me to “observe” my upsetting thoughts and feelings pass by without getting “hooked” by them.</p>
<p>Re: the unhelpful stories. Merely acknowledging that you’re being upset by a story you’re telling yourself can be very successful. In addition, you can argue (with yourself) against your negative narrative. Case in point, if you’re stuck in a downhill spiral of “what if” questions, think precise percentages and likelihoods. Sure, it’s vaguely possible you’ll get made redundant but what’s the genuine probability (without the emotional aspects)? Or, if your self-talk contains plenty of imprecise absolute words like “total,” “completely” and “never,” swap them with relative words like “occasionally”.</p>
<p>Bottom line: Whatever anger management tools you choose to adopt (and healthcare speakers have a ton of them) always take a combined biological-psychological approach. This is the critical clue to boosting your EI, including coping with your rage.</p>

<p>1. Sound healing starts with the deepest sound you can make, UH. This is to be done with eyes closed and attention concentrated on the base chakra of your spinal base. With this sound, you have to note the sound resonance in the body in the chakra, and not from your throat. This chakra sound can be visualized with red color and should be said for a minute or two.</p>
<p>2. The next chakra sound has to come from the second chakra found three inches below the naval. You have to chant OOO while complimenting the chakra sound with orange. You have to chant with eyes closed to experience the balancing of the chakra with other chakras for one or two minutes.</p>
<p>3. The third chakra sound &#8220;OH has to come from the navel chakra, found at the navel area. The color for complimenting visualization here is yellow. This chakra sound has to start very softly and gently, but higher than the last sound.</p>
<p>4. The chakra sound for the heart chakra, found in the middle of the chest is AH. This sound is usually emitted when in love and the heart chakra is associated with love. Green is the color you can use for complimenting this chakra sound where you have to start with a soft and gentle sound, with a slightly higher pitch than the last chakra sound.</p>
<p>5. EYE is the chakra sound for the throat chakra that can be complimented with blue. This chakra sound too has to be higher in pitch than the previous sounds.</p>
<p>6. AYE is the chakra sound for the third chakra found a bit higher than the two eyes, and in the forehead. The chakra sound is associated with indigo and has to be started with a soft and gentle tone, but should be of a higher pitch than previous sounds.</p>
<p>7. The crown chakra, found at the top of the head, demands the highest sound you can make. This chakra sound is EEE and is complemented with purple and starts by making the highest EEE sound possible. Like other chakra sounds, this chakra sound also starts soft and gentle.</p>
<p>You have to close your eyes when chanting all the chakra sounds while concentrating on different chakras. When you focus on the different chakras, you find chakra sounds projecting from the respective chakras. And with the resonance of the sound chakras, each chakra starts balancing and aligning with other chakras.</p>
<p>It is better if you relax or meditate after this exercise as you may feel light headed. This should be done so that you can realize the benefits of the chakra sounds better.</p>

<p>Chakras are the focal points for universal energy which flows through us, whether we know it or not. Your chakras have a profound influence on your life whether this effect is good, such as when they are properly aligned for energy flow or whether this effect is for the worse, like when they are blocked, preventing the flow of energy or are out of alignment.</p>
<p>Chakra comes from the Sanksrit word for energy. Although the concept comes to us from the Hindu faith, our energy centers care little what, if any religion we ourselves may practice. Energy is instead a universal force possessed by every person. The physical manifestation of the path through which this energy flows in and out of our auras is the Chakras.</p>
<p>Chakras which are correctly aligned have a wealth of benefits for the mind, body and the spirit, which is why chakra meditation is such a good thing to learn. You will be able to perform chakra meditation if you know where your chakras are and what each chakra does.</p>
<p>Your chakras are sited in vital areas such as your heart and your head. The organs which are in the area of these chakras are used to control the energy of the chakra and are as such directly affected by their chakra. There are seven chakras in the human body.</p>
<p>Your first chakra is call the Root Chakra and sits at the base of your spine. Governed by this chakra are your constitution and general health. This chakra is representative of our physical bodies and its relation between the physical and mental aspects of human nature. Each chakra has a color and red is the color of the Root Chakra.</p>
<p>In the lower abdomen is out second chakra, the Navel Chakra. Representing our physical drives toward love, pleasure and sex, as well as giving and receiving, this chakra is where you will feel generosity, harmony and selflessness, as well as some acts of creativity. The color of this chakra is orange.</p>
<p>Third is the Solar Plexus Chakra, sited right below your chest. This chakra is representative of your transformational ability and your willpower. Control over your personal energy is also a part of what the Solar Plexus Chakra does. This chakra is where your self discipline is seated; as well as control over the ego. The color of this chakra is yellow.</p>
<p>The Heart Chakra is found in the center of the chest. It only seems natural then that this chakra control love and understanding. Our feelings of harmony, balance, forgiveness and compassion stem from this chakra. The Heart Chakra nurtures the feelings of divine and unconditional love that goes beyond the physical. The color of the Heart Chakra is green.</p>
<p>The fifth chakra is the Throat Chakra, sited between the chin and the sternum. This chakra governs communication. The Throat Chakra lets us understand the power of honest speech to convey truth, kindness and wisdom. The color of the Throat chakra is sky blue.</p>
<p>Also known as the third eye, the sixth chakra is called the Brow Chakra and is located in the forehead, between the eyebrows. This chakra is responsible for insight, imagination and intuition. This is the chakra which lets you look inward to examine your own soul. Peace of mind and an experience of the divine is also located here. This chakra&#8217;s color is indigo.</p>
<p>The final chakra is the Crown Chakra, obviously based on the name it is found at the top of the head. So it should go with out saying then that anything that deals with the mind and spirit is controlled here. It is the Crown Chakra that is tied to our individual journey into understanding our own consciousness and our place in time and space. Anything dealing with the Higher Self is rooted in the Crown Chakra. The color for the Crown Chakra is violet.</p>
<p>Knowing where each chakra is and what each one is tied to will help you with chakra meditation. There are meditations that can be used to align all of the chakras as well as meditations that focus on one particular chakra.</p>

<p>In Sanskrit, chakra means a spinning wheel or vortex. There is another meaning to chakra, which indicates the seven chakras of the human body that relate to the seven gland systems of the body. These chakras are centers of spinning energy with the first one on the base of the spine and the seventh one at the crown.</p>
<p>Everything moving causes vibrations, and since chakras are centers of spinning energy, there is vibration here. This vibration brings about sound, which is the reason why different body parts vibrate with different frequencies at the different chakras.</p>
<p>There are not only seven independent chakra sounds for the seven chakras but also seven colors associated with the different chakras. These colors also vibrate at different frequencies where both the chakra sound and color helps in the restoration of balance in the chakras. This in turn helps in the restoring of health.</p>
<p>You only need your voice for sound healing via chakra sounds, to feel better, calmer and clearer in a matter of minutes. However these chakra sounds should be soft and gentle, and not longer than five minutes duration each.</p>
<p>1. Sound healing starts with the deepest sound you can make, UH. This is to be done with eyes closed and attention concentrated on the base chakra of your spinal base. With this sound, you have to note the sound resonance in the body in the chakra, and not from your throat. This chakra sound can be visualized with red color and should be said for a minute or two.</p>
<p>2. The next chakra sound has to come from the second chakra found three inches below the naval. You have to chant OOO while complimenting the chakra sound with orange. You have to chant with eyes closed to experience the balancing of the chakra with other chakras for one or two minutes.</p>
<p>3. The third chakra sound &#8220;OH has to come from the navel chakra, found at the navel area. The color for complimenting visualization here is yellow. This chakra sound has to start very softly and gently, but higher than the last sound.</p>
<p>4. The chakra sound for the heart chakra, found in the middle of the chest is AH. This sound is usually emitted when in love and the heart chakra is associated with love. Green is the color you can use for complimenting this chakra sound where you have to start with a soft and gentle sound, with a slightly higher pitch than the last chakra sound.</p>
<p>5. EYE is the chakra sound for the throat chakra that can be complimented with blue. This chakra sound too has to be higher in pitch than the previous sounds.</p>
<p>6. AYE is the chakra sound for the third chakra found a bit higher than the two eyes, and in the forehead. The chakra sound is associated with indigo and has to be started with a soft and gentle tone, but should be of a higher pitch than previous sounds.</p>
<p>7. The crown chakra, found at the top of the head, demands the highest sound you can make. This chakra sound is EEE and is complemented with purple and starts by making the highest EEE sound possible. Like other chakra sounds, this chakra sound also starts soft and gentle.</p>
<p>You have to close your eyes when chanting all the chakra sounds while concentrating on different chakras. When you focus on the different chakras, you find chakra sounds projecting from the respective chakras. And with the resonance of the sound chakras, each chakra starts balancing and aligning with other chakras.</p>
<p>It is better if you relax or meditate after this exercise as you may feel light headed. This should be done so that you can realize the benefits of the chakra sounds better.</p>

<p>If this is hard for you to do &#8211; the spiritual uplifting of others &#8211; then look inward and think about what might be blocking your feelings of love and support. Perhaps you have hurts you still carry within you, that prevent your heart from unfolding.</p>
<p>When you give positive words and emotions to others you are like a gardener or farmer planting seeds. If you have ever gardened or farmed, you know that planting and tilling and sewing seeds is hard work. They may not grow right away, or as fast, or in the way that you would have liked, or they may not grow at all.</p>
<p>But if you nourish them steadily, reinforcing feelings with words and words with feelings &#8211; and good deeds &#8211; usually they will grow and blossom into something greater, something beautiful. Whey you speak kindly and encouragingly to others you are planting seeds that one day can make a big difference in a person&#8217;s life, when they finally take root and blossom.</p>
<p>So we are social animals and get our identity from the feedback of people and culture around us. We all have this power to uplift others, which in turn will help uplift ourselves. We must also be aware of our ability to hurt others through careless words and selfish disregard. We each have a responsibility to uplift each other.</p>
<p>When you hurt others you injure your own heart, and you can no longer walk without a shadow over you, in the light of integrity. You will no longer feel whole within yourself.  When you hurt others your soul dies a little too. There is no greater feeling, or task, than empowering another through love and support. But the work comes before the reward; as ye shall sew, so shall ye reap.</p>
<p>If you think that your life does not touch others, that they are not your business, you will find yourself cut off from those around you, from the society around you. And even if you form your own little society, it too will be alienated from society at large.  There is a communal soul we all must share and take part in.</p>
<p>When you try to encourage others, don&#8217;t try and force a solution onto their life, or set a timetable for them to heal. Some people get over a relationship in 2 weeks; some take 2 years. Practice patience. Be like an old Oak Tree by their side. Listen to them closely enough and they will tell you what they need to heal. Then help them to get it.</p>
<p>Have faith that you can be a positive influence in a person&#8217;s life. Believing something makes it much easier to do. When you see some of the fruits of your efforts and find some success, you share in the bounty. You begin to have more faith in yourself.</p>
