Millions of adults today suffer silently with a painful and embarrassing condition called hemorrhoids that is completely treatable, something that will afflict 40% of the adult population (or more) at some point in their lives. In most cases this condition is treatable with simple over the counter creams. It doesn’t even require a visit to your doctor in most cases. Unfortunately, this is the type of condition that people don’t like to talk about, so many people just stay silent, hoping it will just go away.

And in fact, most cases of hemorrhoids will eventually go away without any treatment at all. But the problem with doing nothing is that you needlessly prolong your suffering far longer than is necessary. By treating this condition immediately when it occurs, you can greatly shorten its duration.

Creams and ointments are a topical treatment applied to your outer rectal area to soothe inflamed blood vessels. This creates a relaxation of the tissue so that it does not bulge out so much. Once the tissue does not bulge, the hemorrhoid will be less likely to worsen and more likely to go away.

Another type of treatment that is very popular as well are suppositories which are inserted inside the rectum for the purpose of delivering moisture to the hemorrhoid and creating a lubricating effect once the next rectal pressure comes. The aim is to ensure the hemorrhoid heals without rupturing again. These are an effective treatment for many people.

Another approach to the treatment of hemorrhoids is pills that one can consume to regulate blood pressure in the body. These pills can have unwanted side effects but in general they are used to tighten vein tissue so that the hemorrhoid is less susceptible to inflammation. It’s a somewhat indirect approach that can be beneficial but can also create real side effects and big pharmaceutical companies like to push pills.

Hemorrhoids are much more common than you may imagine. If you know somebody that has had surgery to correct hemorrhoids, then you’ve heard how painful it is, and how long it takes to fully heal until you are back to normal. For those of you who have suffered from hemorrhoids, I don’t have to tell you how hard everyday life is with that part of your body in pain.

And those that do have hemorrhoid surgery know the shocking truth that they will come back about half the time. Usually within a year or sooner. Nobody wants to have surgery for something that is going to come back eventually anyway, unless your circumstances are unusual. This happens because surgery is only a temporary fix. It doesn’t address the underlying causes.

The fact is that hemorrhoids can occur naturally at any time under certain conditions, and so it is generally a silly idea to resort to surgery to have them removed unless you suffer from an abnormal hemorrhoidal problem that is far more severe than the average affliction.

The good news is that there are many natural and effective remedies out there that do address the underlying cause. And that means that your hemorrhoids can go away in as little as two or three days with proper treatment and health care. And once they are gone, they will usually be gone for good, if you practice proper hygiene and don’t sit too long in the same position. Proper circulation and blood flow, and good hygiene are important for keeping hemorrhoids at bay.

One simple example of a natural diet cure or prevention is dietary fiber. Without enough fiber, making a proper bowel movement can become difficult. Pushing and straining dry stool causes undue friction and ultimately damage to the rectal area. This is what causes many hemorrhoids. Simply add more fiber to your diet and the hemorhoids may disappear. In addition, a diet with sufficient fiber has been linked in scientific studies to lower rates of cancer and other serious diseases.

A diet high in fiber is necessary for a healthy body. Also, lower your intake of processed sugars and foods. These are often filled with harmful chemicals that can cause hemorrhoids.

Also, be sure to drink enough fluids. Remember the old rule of at least 8 glasses of purified water a day and usually this will prevent many incidents of hemorrhoids by keeping your stool moist. Moist stool can pass more easily and create less damage to this very sensitive area of your body.

Of course, there are many more cures than simply adding fiber and water to your diet. Those that have taken the time to discover these remedies know that even the worse case of hemorrhoids is no match for these powerful, natural cures. Once you discover these cures, you can realize that yourself.

A tmj disorder is a rare but increasingly popular disease that is beginning to effect more and more people, although the reason for this is not clear. There are many tmj treatment options and remedies and a lot of health information available for a tmj disorder and jaw pain, so take the time to educate yourself before seeking the proper relief and treatment.

Many people suffering from a tmj disorder may not realize they have this particular disease because there are many different tmj symptoms associated with it. For example, many people will go to their doctor complaining of tmj pain in their jaw, face or neck area, and tmj headaches are common. There may also be clicking in the tmj joint or even tinnitus or ringing in the ears.

The Temporomandibular Joint is somewhat fragile and prone to injury and disease because it is so highly stressed and used so often when eating. It is the small joint in front of the ear that attaches the jawbone (mandible) to your skull (temporal bone).

This is what’s known as a “ball and socket” joint and allows the jaw to move in every direction. The TMJ jaw joint helps you eat, swallow and speak while supporting the jaw. So obviously the healthy condition of and tmj relief of symptoms is vitally important to many of our most necessary, everyday functions.

The position of your teeth when they close (occlusion) is what aligns your TMJ joints and the surrounding muscles. Many people grind their teeth when sleeping (Bruxism), which can really exacerbate a tmj disorder.

Some of the following tmj symptoms or conditions may suggest that you visit your dentist and inquire about TMJ disease.

Do you have your wisdom teeth?

Do you have dentures that need readjusting?

Can you only chew your food well on one side of your mouth?

Do you have a strong overbite, with your front teeth covering your lower teeth?

Is one side of your face higher or lower than the other?

Do you have any missing teeth?

Do you ever feel your teeth “lock-up” when biting down?

Do you have any teeth or crowns that lay flatter or are more worn than normal?

When you bite down, do your teeth align properly, or are their problems with misaligned teeth that

prevent proper chewing or cause pain (malocclusion), sometimes called a cross-bite?

I mentioned tinnitus, but other hearing related problems are sometimes associated with a tmj disorder because of the position and attachment of the joint near the ear. If you are having unusual hearing symptoms you may also want to consult your dentist so you can rule out this problem.

Treatments range from the mainstream medical procedures such as Arthrocentesis, where the joint is irrigated or flushed in an attempt to remove particulate matter and reduce inflammation, to more serious surgeries to try and find tmj relief of pain and symptoms.

While these options may be necessary for some people, many people have had success with alternative healing remedies that do not require surgery or pharmaceutical drugs.
