Millions of adults today suffer silently with a painful and embarrassing condition called hemorrhoids that is completely treatable, something that will afflict 40% of the adult population (or more) at some point in their lives. In most cases this condition is treatable with simple over the counter creams. It doesn’t even require a visit to your doctor in most cases. Unfortunately, this is the type of condition that people don’t like to talk about, so many people just stay silent, hoping it will just go away.

One simple example of a natural diet cure or prevention is dietary fiber. Without enough fiber, making a proper bowel movement can become difficult. Pushing and straining dry stool causes undue friction and ultimately damage to the rectal area. This is what causes many hemorrhoids. In addition, a diet with sufficient fiber has been linked in scientific studies to lower rates of cancer and other serious diseases.

A diet high in fiber is necessary for a healthy body. Also, lower your intake of processed sugars and foods. These are often filled with harmful chemicals that can cause hemorrhoids.

Also, be sure to drink enough fluids. Remember the old rule of at least 8 glasses of purified water a day and usually this will prevent many incidents of hemorrhoids by keeping your stool moist. Moist stool can pass more easily and create less damage to this very sensitive area of your body.
