Amazon.com: George Orwell’s 1984 is Here, or Did Someone Steal it?

That’s where we’re headed, and no, I don’t like women’s lingerie unless THEY are wearing it, but yes, I do like looking at Japanese schoolgirls. It is not ours to ask why, but you might want to begin with the Japanese.

On the other hand, if someone wants to know what I believe, they don’t have to spend millions of dollars on sophisticated computational equipment – I’ll be happy to tell them. Right to their damn face. Maybe. Just ask.

Oh by the way, the Amazon thingy, the deleting of George Orwell’s great classic 1984, which is a book about assholes like Amazon who delete books like 1984 – which if you haven’t read yet, run out and buy a copy – that was all just a big mistake according to the Statistical Operations Informing Public Relations Department at Amazon. Oopsy, shit happens.

And the fact that some of Ayn Rand’s books were also deleted – another coincidental mistake. But as Carl Jung and a few others taught us, there are no coincidences. It just so happens that Ayn Rand believed in Rational Self-Determination – a celebration of the individual to think for themselves and make rational decisions based on self-interest – and didn’t like fascist governments like the one forming in America one damn bit.

Think for yourselves folks. Remember that online companies are using advanced computational data-mining techniques to learn everything they can about you short of putting a camera in your bedroom.  If that doesn’t bother you, maybe you’re one of those guys who like streaking around the neighborhood naked. You have boundary issues.

Couldn’t you at least be female?

Say no to DRM in its present draconian form and let information be free, especially for those who are too poor to afford it. You know, like 90% of the planet living in poverty? And how will content publishers make money? Charity. Enough rich people will donate to allow the writer to pay her rent and even have extra for premium mouse-flavored catfood. The fact is, historically, artists have always relied on the good graces of the rich, and only in recent history have they become so.

And maybe the government will even stop taxing poor people, which is the ethically responsible thing to do.  You know, anyone making less than $15,000 a year.
